I got this and an 9 LED light both about the same price to compare. 9-LED was brighter and lit a wider area. The only advantage of this 1-watt is it is slightly smaller.Customer Review: Great concept, but some quality issues

I was looking for a single-AA or AAA LED light with high brightness. I liked the size of this flashlight, and the solid mechanical feel and well-fitting end caps. Although the switch clicked on with a positive click, the light flickered if the switch cap was lightly brushed while on.
Worse yet, the light lasted about 30 seconds, then changed to a flickering strobe light flashing 2 times per second. It had to be returned to Amazon.
Given 2 stars for package style and physical construction.

This is an impressive little light with a great focused beam and it uses a single AA battery. Rechargeables work great for it and the price is right. It is brighter than a 10 LED flashlight I bought from Cabelas for 6 times the price.Customer Review: worked for 30 seconds
