My two year old was always trying to help us rake, or dig with the shovel, but he found it very frustrating. He loves these garden tools, and they have been stored for a year outside with no ill effects. My only concern is these are so hefty, I'm afraid he could really hurt his brother if he clobbered him on the head with one of these things. A wonderful tool set for the children. Bought two sets. One for the 5 year old. One for the 2 year old. Perfect for the 5 year old. 2 year old needs a bit of supervision not to hit his brother over the head, but, if only the 5 year old had the tools, there would have been a war. :-). Very durable. I ordered this tool set for my grandson, age 2. He loves to work outside with his daddy and I thought he would love it. When it arrived I couldn't believe that it was sold as a product for children. The tools are made of thick, heavy, sharp, pointy metal! This is NOT a "pretend" tool set. BEWARE these tools are dangerous!!! we were looking for a set of tools that would last the tough gardening of a 3 year old...WE FOUND THEM!! they are the real deal..alittle sharp and they are metal so we had to set some rules but I can see they are going to be around awhile..my son has been playing with them in the snow for now since I got them for a christamas present and so far so good!!Customer Review: Great For A Little 2 Year Old 'Helper'

We have a number of outside home improvment projects as well as the typical yard work sundays. This was the perfect toy for our 2 year old who was very eager to help. The toys are very durable and even sustained heavy use when a smaller tool was necessary for our 'adult' projects. Would recommned to anyone with a 18 month to 5 year old.
