I got this item when I was staring up my Paranormal Hobby. This worked so well the first night we bought 2 more...the instructions that come with it are very basic but there are thousands of sites online that will help you better understand what the device is for.
Don't let the cheap price of this scare you it works great. I have dropped it and had mine tossed across room by entities and it works great. I just with this EMF meter came with a light to help with readings in an area as well.
For any level Paranormal Investigator it's a no brainer for the price.

This is an excellent meter. Buy it and try it on usual suspects: fluorescent lights in your kitchen, microwave oven, and your cell phone from the place where you ear would be. All of those readings on my meter were way of scale! Yes, that includes the brand new, supposedly perfectly safe microwave oven. That oven is leaking like Titanic. Luckily I don't like nuking my food, so I never really used it.
Another surprise was that my computer and LCD monitor have almost no detectable radiation, at least from where I sit.

I am glad that I bought this one. Even though there are different opinions about EMF, why should one take a chance?
I Kept the knob at 0-3 Magnetic and checked every corner of my house. You will be surprised to see some items like the flouroscent light emitting strong EMFs. I discovered some electrical outlets to be sending out more field than others (example of faulty wiring).
I even took it to my gym and workplace to ensure I am using (or around)equipments which are safe.
This was definetely a good decision.

This is an excellent meter and I cannot fault the device for my mistake. People who are working on a tighter budget will find this a very good purchase. But, Trifield has this same meter that has an audible alarm and a knob on the side to adjust the threshold for the alarm that makes it much more useful for just a bit higher price. That would have been a much better choice for me, but it isn't listed on Amazon. I also own the Trifield Meter - Natural EM that has the alarm function added.Customer Review: not quite a natural field EMF meter but very close

I love the ability this meter gives you to monitor the magnetic, electrical, microwave and radio waves all on one compact device. This little beauty is sensitive since I found it could pick up the energy from my heartbeat with it held at arms length. It is also handy for debunking things like computer bleed-through in walls. A must for the serious paranormal investigator's toolbox.
