Tools and Hardware Reviews of Tricam GOR201B-T1 Gorilla Carts 600-Pounds Capacity Dumping Cart, BlackCustomer Review: Gorilla Garden Cart - great for the money Summary: 4 Stars
Just received the Gorilla Garden Cart - for the money its a great buy. It definitely looks bigger in the pics - but it is adequate for our needs around the yard. The undercarriage is very solid - the pneumatic tires very nice. Cart went together in about 40 minutes - i followed other reviewers' advice and put large washers under the bolts inside the cart for added stability. I wish the plastic tub was heavier gauge also. The dump feature is great - but I especially like the fact that the pull handle can convert to a tractor hitch. I doubt I'd trust 600lbs in the cart - but for hauling shrub clippings, plants, etc - it will be a great replacement for our old beat-out unstable wheel barrow. After lengthy searching on the 'net, the Gorilla Garden cart from Amazon.com (thanks as always for the free shipping!!!) was the best choice without going crazy on credit card.
Customer Review: Tuff Little Sucker! Summary: 5 Stars
I first had a chance to use this cart when my neighbor offered his to move 10-yards of topsoil around my yard. After an hour of use, I was so impressed that I ordered my own.
Assembly was relativity easy and I wasted no time in putting my own cart to work. I'm still digging away at the pile of topsoil and even loaded it down with patio blocks and firewood. Like other "Amazoners", I was somewhat hesitate to load the plastic tray with heavier materials. But I found this cart handles the increased loads without incident.
To that end, I have no intent of exceeding the manufacturer's weight rating of a 600lb load or the 300lb max dumping. The last thing any of us need is personal injury or product damage.
For my needs, the good price, and fast shipping from the vendor, this little Gorilla Cart is FREAKIN GREAT!
Customer Review: horrendous to assemble - Summary: 2 Stars
This cart came with the precise amount of nuts, bolts and washers needed,...if they had not had defects in the threads. Some of the nuts simply would not fit on any of the bolts and were useless.
If you take on this beast, before getting aggravated, test all the bolts and nuts to find compatible 'matches' and be prepared to need some spares or better yet, buy your own and throw these out.
the cart body is a lot more flimsy than I thought it would be. It might hold 600 pounds of feathers but any load that is hard could crack the bucket.
that said, once put together, it is an ok cart. it dumps, tows and pulls and rolls well. It is just not as tough as the name and 600 lb limit would lead you to believe. It in not professional grade but for the money and for small home projects, its a good deal.
Customer Review: Much Better Than a Wheel Barrow Summary: 5 Stars
High quality cart. I've moved many loads of dirt, rocks, bricks & mulch with this cart and it hasn't yet suffered any damage and continues to function well. That kind of surprised me as the plastic container at first appeared fragile, but that hasn't proven to be the case. Moving everything I've moved with a wheel barrow would have been a much bigger chore.
The cart also works as a great child mover, i.e. my little son loves taking a ride in it.
Two nits, one is when you dump a load, it still leaves about 5% of the load in the cart, so you have to pick up the cart in order to get it "all" out.
The second is a small joke and that is the cart is well made lacks a back up beeping function, similar to what you'd hear from a large truck. :-)
Customer Review: Forget Support Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased the 600 lb garden cart at SAMS Club. The box contained wrong parts. The two support brackets were supposed to have opposing angles and they were both the same. I called the company and they said they would ship the correct items. That was two weeks ago and I have yet to receive the correct parts and now they will not return my calls. With a blow tourch, a vise and a hammer I managed to fix the parts but would never buy anything from them again. I tried to exchange the item but SAMS has apparently pulled the item from their inventory. The only reason I took the time to fix it was because my wife really wanted it. I understand employees making mistakes but to lie to you regarding shipping the correct parts and then refuse to answer your messages thats inexcusable.
