This is my fourth blower, yet this is my first troy-bilt. It blows well
enough for our needs. I will agree with the placement and size of the low-high control.. I don't have large hands, yet i tend to knock the speed down quite often. It is very loud, even with earplugs or noise cancelling earphones. I have had this less than a year, and it leaks gas from the carb. It is a bit heavy compared to other blowers its size and strength.
I don't use it for vac/mulching, thats what the lawnmower is for. ;)

Started right up!
Blows like crazy!
It's not louder than and other blower that I have heard. I used it for about an hour and I was really impressed. It sucked up even the biggest of Maple leaves.
I can't help with the long term because I only received it Friday but it seems very solid and like any 2-stroke motor it should be fine as long as the fuel is mixed correctly and it is taken care of properly.

This blower lasted a little over 2 tanks of gas, got hot and quit - forever!! This was from the same can of gas that I use for my Homelite blower so is 32:1 rather then the 40:1 so has plenty of extra lubrication(25%). The easy start rope pull spring is shot and will only partially retract unless you let it snap back from full extension.
While it worked, it did move lots of air - so that is a plus - but it still needs to run to move that air!!!

Received today. Out of the box; fueled and started effortlessly. Five minutes to unpack, read instructions mix fuel. Used only once, but cleared the garage of dust and leaves quickly, sidewalk no problem. Haven't used the vacuum which isn't a feature I plan on using so can't offer any feedback.
Well engineered and balanced for easy carrying one handed.
Greatly satisfied over two previous blowers I've owned. Five stars plus.
Customer Review: Poor Manufacturing Quality

I have had 2 of these in 2 years. Very noisy. First unit was replaced after a few weeks with faulty pull-start. Flimsy zipper on leaf bag broke soon after. Also had a faulty throttle lever which I lived with for about 18 months till the the cylinder head worked loose and destroyed the piston and rings. Repairs will cost more than a new unit, which is academic as I have no intention of buying anything "Toy-Bilt" again.
