I grew tired of renting my neighbor's log splitter so I decided to shop around for one. This Troy-Bilt log splitter had all the qualities I wanted. It was made well, had a Honda engine, worked both horizontal as well as vertical positions, and had an automatic return. I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was to put together once it was delivered. There were very few pieces to put together although it did help to have another person help me because this piece of equipment is very heavy to handle. The instruction are easy to follow. I had a harder time getting it out of the crate then I did putting it together! Once it was in position to use, I just added gas and started it up. It worked just as well as I imagined and with its 27-ton pressure, it can easily break up nearly any wood that I need to split. It works so easily that I might need to fight off family members from wanting to use this since it takes the work out of a taxing job.

The Troy-Bilt log splitter is equipped with the 160cc Honda OHC engine generates 27 ton ram pressure. The log splitter has a 19 second cycle time with a 25-inch log capacity. The unit comes with 16- by 4.8-inch wheels, Diamond plate fenders, log cradle, three gallon gas tank, cast iron cutting wedge, and coil wrapped hose with hydraulic oil included.
