Most kitchen garbage cans are small and fill quickly, this one is larger, sturdy and inexpensive. We had one like it for at least 5 years, when time to replace we found this on Amazon and purchased immediately.

I wouldn't suggest it as a birthday present but it fulfills its purpose perfectly.
