Customer Review: See-through the plastic and swing-top sticks

The wastebasket is made of semi-translucent plastic, meaning it's partially see-through. If one throws away something blue or pink, there's a blue or pink shape visible inside. If the point is to put the trash out of sight, this fails. If I didn't want it out of sight, I'd not bother with a covered wastebasket.
Also, the little swing door is on pivots that stick due to bad design, so it sticks in the upside-down position about half the time. This means the hands-free feature of a swinging top cover is made useless because it's necessary to turn the swing door rightside-up by hand. Buy it in black. if you really want one, it's probably not possible to see the trash through the black plastic. But the top will probably still stick half the time!
