I live in a small place with 2 small bathrooms, and this works great for me. I have a strainer in the tub for hair, etc., so the drain won't get clogged, and this is great for dumping the strainer and also my wife's, uh, well, the items she uses when she gets her "monthly visitor". The swivel closing lid keeps all that nasty stuff nicely out of sight. It's pretty small so we just use a plastic grocery sack for a liner. Again, it's not large so don't use it where you would need a large wastebasket, but for what we need it works great and looks nice too.
