Customer Review: Not really a helpful accessory to the Bumbo

Like a lot of parents, I purchased the Bumbo with high expectations. Yes, the seat is great for a baby, especially when they start learning to hold their heads up. I loved the Bumbo itself. When my mom bought this tray, I thought this could easily take the place of buying a high chair. NOPE! By the time babies are 6-7 months old, in my son's case, he was over the tray. He was easily able to remove it. The tray does not snap on, it can pinch easily, and continuously comes off. Clearly, as the title of the item suggests, it was literally meant to be only a PLAY tray. Still, I was disappointed in the quality of the item.Customer Review: Great addition, if you can get it attached.

We love the bumbo, and saw this tray for it on-line (couldn't find in any store). We thought sine we liked the bumbo so much, this had to be designed just as well. Unfortunately, it's not. It's difficult to secure, especially when the baby is moving around, as they tend to do. After a couple of weeks, I've figured out a process to secure one side, the middle section, and then push in the other side so it attaches. Once it's on, though, it's great, and stays on. It helps keep the table clean and the tray is a good size for our 10 month old. Overall, I recommend it, if you can handle getting it attached.Customer Review: Great Add-On For Bumbo

Before purchasing the Bumbo Tray, my 4 month old seemed bored in her Bumbo because she couldn't play with her toys. With the Bumbo Tray, I can place her toys on the tray and she can grab them.
Also, the Bumbo makes a great feeding chair. The Bumbo Tray is a great product because it gives her a place to put her hands and it prevents her hands (covered in cereal) from touching her clothes.
Sometimes I have some trouble attaching the Bumbo Tray to the Bumbo. You have to be very careful so your little ones arms do not get pinched.

I was really excited when I saw this and couldn't wait to get home and try it out. I thought it'd be really helpful now to put toys on for my 5 month old and when he gets older, for finger foods, but the tray doesn't snap on. It may work better for little ones but it pinches my son and just won't stay on. It falls off immediately, doesn't really fit onto the seat at all, and seems quite useless. I bought it this morning and will be returning it this afternoon. For $2.50 (at Target) I'd try it again, if they redesigned it to somehow snap onto the seat.Customer Review: Great for feeding

I use the tray in conjunction with the Bumbo chair to feed my 6 month old. It works very well for this and she also likes to sit in the chair with the tray on and play. The only down side to this is that she throws the toys on the floor so I am continuously picking them up.
The tray does take some work to get on the chair as the chair is very flexible and if I don't get it on properly my daughter is able to lift it off. That would be the only disadvantage that I see, but I love the chair and the tray has made it that much better.
