This adapter does what it is designed to do, but I wish it had more of a taper - if you are not using it with a device that has just the right size to receive it, it tends to fall out.
I also bought a multi-step adapter which has more of a taper for each size. It seems to be a lot more useful for the money and tends to stay in better - you just need to cut off the smaller sections you don't need before you can use it. Shop-Vac 906-87 Universal Tool Adapter.
