Tools and Hardware Reviews of Stop-A-Clog Drain Protector (Clear) (5" Diameter)Customer Review: My landlord will thank me! Summary: 5 Stars
I always seemed to be calling my landlord to come and unclog my shower drain. This got tiresome, so I decided to try out this drain protector. And guess what, it really works! My hair is long and there is lots of it, so the drain protecter has its work cut out for it. At the end of my shower, without fail, the drain protector has caught all of my hair and prevented it from going down the drain. The flexible material makes it really easy to pull the hair out. And I didn't even realize it when I ordered it, but two come in a package, which is a nice little bonus.
Customer Review: Almost what I was looking for Summary: 4 Stars
I was looking for something to catch hair that works with a pop-up drain. This item is big enough to cover the pop-up drain. With the slight slope to my tub, I can't get all the suction cups to stick. Also the texture of the tub seems to reduce the effectiveness of the suction cups. But most of the time I can get all but one to attach. It does help catch hair, even with one unattached suction cup, and I haven't found anything better yet. Very nice softness to the product. I like it, I just wish it worked a big better on my tub.
Customer Review: Serves its purpose Summary: 4 Stars
Product works very well. I have a pull, pop up type drain so I had to cut a little bit at the top to fit. After that 20 seconds of work, it fits and works wonderfully. My wife's hair is extremely long and easily gets trapped in the product. I've been using it for about a month now, and the drain has been perfect...I usually need to Drano every week, but haven't had to thus far. My tub is extremely old as well, and the suction cups don't exactly stick to the bottom, but it still traps the hair. For the price, would definitely recommend.
Customer Review: Great product for showers Summary: 5 Stars
This one works great for showers because it has enough holes everywhere to really let water through so it doesn't fill up around your feet. We had previously tried the other kind which is mainly intended for bathtubs and it did not work nearly as well in a stall shower. Also it is soft rubbery so isn't a problem if you step on it. It is clear and unobtrusive. It is great at stopping hair, the hair winds around the lower part and is very easy to pull off. You get two stop-a-clogs in the package!
Customer Review: Stop-A-Clog is great Summary: 4 Stars
Stop-a-Clog drain protectors are pretty good at catching hair in showers. It's soft so it doesn't hurt if you step on it and it doesn't create a pool of water from going down drain. There will be some pooling but not much. I've tried other traps and they end up acting like a mini stop-plug and you end up standing in a half inch of water when you shower. You can't go wrong with this one and it's cheap. Buy a bunch and throw it away after a while.
