Tools and Hardware Reviews of Sheet Pan Half Size - 12-7/8'' x 17-3/4'' Heavy Duty, 13 GaugeCustomer Review: Great! I wish I'd bought them sooner. Summary: 5 Stars
This is my first ever review, I don't usually bother, but I delayed buying these trays (I bought 2 in the end) because of all the contradicting reviews and I wanted to share my experience. The trays arrived fast, they are stamped on the back with "5314 WEAR -EVER made in the USA". They don't have rolled edges which is great as there is nowhere for food to get stuck, I've used them to make pizza (25 minutes in a 500 degree oven) several times now and they show no signs of warping. They feel sturdy, they are easy to clean and I wish I'd bought them sooner as now I have them I'm not sure how I managed without them.
Customer Review: Quality drops after outsourcing Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased four of these a year or so ago after reading a recommendation for them in Cook's Illustrated. They are beautiful - smooth, sturdy, no flaws in design at all, and priced reasonably. I ordered an additional one recently, same brand, same model, and the rims are rolled under and open instead of rolled under completely. The edges of the rolled rims on the new pan are sharp. Food and oils can collect under the rims and it would take a very small brush or pipe cleaner to keep clean. The pan feels cheaper. I returned it. The first four were made in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The recent one was made in China.
Customer Review: Excellent Summary: 4 Stars
Pans work as advertised. Mine have "Wearever 5314" stamped on the bottom of the pan, along with an adhesive label that says Lincoln Food Services.
Pans help up amazingly well, even at 450 degrees doing oven-fries.
As others have indicated, if you don't receive the correct pan, return it. This whole thing is frustrating to try to figure out--the manufacturer, the distributor, the specs, etc.
Amazon's getting sloppy. I've received a number of books lately with buggered covers because their warehouse guys just threw them in a box with very little packing material.
Customer Review: Excellent pan!! Summary: 5 Stars
I also chose this pan because of the recommendation on America's Test Kitchen. I preheated this pan at 475 and baked honey drizzled sweet potatoes on it. It didn't stick, was easy to clean..and most definitely didn't warp. I noticed the picture someone posted of their pan that warped. The bottom of mine looks different. It says No. 5303, Lincoln-Wearever. Fort Wayne, In. Made in USA 2007-4. I wondered if maybe they had received a different pan. This pan was everything America's Test Kitchen said it would be. I have no regrets at all..it's as close to perfect as a 1/2 sheet pan can be!
Customer Review: Disappointed! Summary: 1 Stars
As some have stated previously, this pan warps! I also purchased this pan due to it being recommended by Cook's Illustrated and having purchased other items that they have recommended I was sure it would be fantastic (as all others have been), but after using it just a few times, I was disappointed to see that it had warped. I have used it mostly to make biscuits in a 475 degree oven and the pan is now so seriously warped and I am seriously frustrated at that. I would try another pan that Cook's Illustrated recommends as I do not believe this pan is worth your money.
