I just got my new desk fan delivered and let me just say.. love it... Previously had a small desk fan purchased from Brookstone about 20 years ago, their current version does not even compare and i found it weak... so i was on the hunt for a fan comparable to my old fan that finally broke.. i took a chance on the Vornado Zippi sight unseen based on the reviews i've read. Very pleasantly surprised. It puts out plenty of "wind" and with 2 speeds, you can't go wrong.. Love the Zippi.Customer Review: Great Idea

I have this on my desk at work, where I don't have to worry about my customers kids sticking their fingers in it! It moves a lot of air...I always keep it on the low setting. The other reviewers who say that this fan is not powerful seem to be missing the point that this is a "small" fan, with collapsible blades! It clearly is not meant to cool off an entire room, although it does move a small amount of air that you can feel 10 feet away. What a great fan. I purchased this fan specifically for travel. Many times we would find ourselves in hotel rooms or at a friend's home and there was nothing we could really use for the "white noise" effect. Hubby and I both like white noise when we sleep and this fits the bill perfectly.This fan is a great size for travel and is very well made. I love the soft cloth blades. It folds up for easy storage too. It's cheaper than a sleep sound generator and you get the bonus air circulation.Customer Review: Ultimate desktop fan

I just threw out my old desk fan I bought in brookstone for $50 bucks. Why? it makes the old fan sound like a vacuum cleaner in comparison. This fan is whisper quiet. Now I can sleep without even noticing its on.
Pls note that this fan produce light breeze NOT STRONG WIND. Its feels like u are using a post card to fan yourself.
Love the design and i dun have to dismantle to clean. Easy to maintain.

The woman in the cubicle next to mine wears so much perfume I could drop dead from inhaling the fumes.
The office area where I work is always too hot, with poor ventilation.
You're all jealous, aren't you?
This fan is AWESOME. So quiet, and moves the air enough so I can breathe.
It's not going to blow any trees over, but it's definitely strong enough for a cramped cubicle space.
I recommend it completely.
