Tools and Hardware Reviews of 15x25-45Wind ScreenCustomer Review: Okay for the low cost Summary: 3 Stars
These were the cheapest screen inserts I could find, and I got what I paid for. They're pretty flimsy, and I do kind of feel like I have to be mindful of not using too much force when adjusting them for the sake of not breaking. I ordered four units. They were all thrown into an ill-sized box, with a lot of empty volume for the screens to rattle around. As such, one arrived with the metal central support bent, and a second had a wooden edge section that was snapped. Despite all that, they work. Once in place within their respective windows, they stay put. So, no regrets I suppose...
Customer Review: Ordered 10 screens, and ALL were defective Summary: 1 Stars
I ordered 10 of these adjustable screen inserts. ALL were defective.
The screen was pulling away from the frame--right out of the box. The name of the seller says Promax, but the real vendor is apparently Crazy Dave's (Tool Supply)? If you call them, there is no answer and you have
to leave a message...lets see if they return the call. Doesn' anyone inspect the product before it ships? I can see missing one bad screen, but ALL 10? There is a serious problem here.
Customer Review: A very good product! Summary: 4 Stars
I'm very happy with the screens I purchased. I have to expand them to their full length in order to completely fill my apartment window, but the screens hold together well even when fully open. The screens aren't the sturdiest items I've ever seen, but with a little care they'll work fine and give you no trouble. The shipping was fast and the screens were well-protected within the shipping carton. These screens work well and, for the price, are a great bargain!
Customer Review: slightly damaged during shipping Summary: 2 Stars
I will echo the previous reviewer's sentiment to say that this item was damaged during shipping. The metal frame was slightly bent but the item is still usable, so I didn't bother returning it. This problem could have been prevented if the packaging had been better: it arrived sealed inside a flattened-out cardboard box, with no padding to prevent the screen or flimsy metal frame from being damaged.
Customer Review: Packaging was a joke. Summary: 1 Stars
The shipping packaging consisted of two flat pieces of cardboard sandwiched and taped around the 4 screens I ordered. No padding and of course 3 of the 4 screens were bent.
What do I expect for their inflated shipping charges of $16 that took over a week to arrive.
Do not recommend this merchant. The screen MFG is not at fault though.
