I love the glow this lamp gives to a room. I am thinking I can feel a difference but that maybe the fact that I purchased it to do just that, a consciousness thing. I purchased this when I was very uncomfortable with a sciatica problem. The problem has cycled out now, thank goodness. But the warm glow of this lamp was most comforting. And I am not able to measure the other effects. But I do know that the beach is very healing so perhaps the negative ions in the air from the lamp helped. Over all I like the lamp for the price, I don't think I over spent because I have seen these lamps listed for far more in other places. JCCustomer Review: Stunning Salt Lamp

It is difficult to describe the true loveliness of this lamp until one sees it lit. On arrival, it appears to be a nondescript "rock" with a hollowed out interior. It has a non-attached cord and no instructions, however after a few different bulb tries was found to take a 40 watt candle flame style bulb. The bulb setting expands to affix neatly into the lamp. Once turned on, this "rock" becomes a thing of brilliant amber beauty as well as a gorgeous conversation piece for any decor featuring natural, southwestern, middle eastern, or african designs. And yes...it IS salt. Each piece is one of a kind. Recommended!!!Customer Review: Terrible product

I wish I was able to give this product a no star rating. This is a horrible and poorly made product. The first one I ordered arrived broken in two. Amazon replaced it very quickly with no problems at all...however this was a wedding gift for a mate.....the replacement lamp began to melt after 4 hours of usage. My mate stopped turning it on all together and it was still melting!!!!! It left a huge stain on their brand new mahogany table. This lamp has caused me much embarassment! I'm currently in the process of asking Amazon to also replace the replacement...but with a different product.Customer Review: Amazon is amazing

I received this lamp as a gift and I love it- however, there was a problem with the on/off switch...I called Amazon, got a return label, sent it off yesterday, January 24th, and I received my replacement today, Jan 25th!! I am thrilled- the replacement works just fine, and I actually just ordered another one so I can have one by my meditation area and one in the bedroom...Also ordered 3 for gifts that were delivered timely...Thanks Amazon..Now I know why my daughter loves this site so much!! I just received my salt lamp and i am generally pleased. The bulb works but does not fit securely in the the lamp. Judging from the damage to the package I would say this was dropped upside down at some point and there were shards of salt loose in the bag as well as clinging to the base. I also did not receive the size that I ordered and paid for. I ordered a 14-17 pound lamp and received a 7 pound lamp. I have sent an email to the seller and await a response and refund of the difference. Time will tell.
