Tools and Hardware Reviews of One-Man Crosscut SawCustomer Review: Great quality saw Summary: 5 Stars
I have a lot of wood that we use to warm up the living room (I keep the thermostat on the chilly side). I hate using chainsaws - cutting wood should be a quiet zen experience :). So I kept buying hand saws from different stores but I could not find something that works. Obviously they make money by selling power tools :(
Finally I bought this saw - it is a bit expensive but is perfect. It comes sharpened and the teeth are all pointing correctly. I used it to cut wood up to 12" thick with no problem. It is heavy so I don't need to push down on it - just let the gravity do the work!
I haven't used it for long but it looks solid. There are no screws (just metal caps) so no way to lose parts of it. Also there is no plastic (both of these problems occur with the regular saws in the stores).
Description of One-Man Crosscut SawPerfect for timber framing, log building, or any heavy cutting job. Use the starting teeth to introduce a kerf, then the 3 TPI main teeth, which cut on both the push and pull stroke, to quickly slice through the toughest jobs. This heavy-duty, hand-hammered German saw has a 32" blade.
