Description of Jet 690036 JVM-836-1 115/230-Volt Vertical Milling Machine
The JET 36in. vertical milling machine features a precision bored and honed milling head.The Jet Vertical Milling Machine is a small mill with all the features found on larger mills but sized for home shops, repair shops, and small maintenance shops. Powered by a 1.5 HP 115/230-volt motor, this milling machine offers 5 spindle speeds ranging from 240 to 1,150 RPM, has a collet capacity of 1/8 to 7/8 inches, and offers a generous 10-1/2 inches of front to back ram travel. This tool features a precision-bored and honed machine head, high-precision spindle bearings, and a chrome-finished, large-diameter quill. Designed with precision-ground dovetail ways and a precision-ground, hardened table, this milling machine also has satin-chrome finished dials and adjustable gibs throughout. The head conveniently tilts left or right, with a graduated scale on the column. This vertical machine locks on all movable surfaces, and can handle a work piece up to 500 pounds. This tool includes a one-shot lubrication system, way covers, a draw bar, and a tool box with tools for easy maintenance.
