Tools and Hardware Reviews of Water Tech BROOM Pool Blaster, Aqua BroomCustomer Review: Terrible product - awful company Summary: 1 Stars
After struggling with turning this vacuum on and off for over 6 months, I finally returned it to Watertech at my shipping expense for a warranty replacement. Instead of replacing it as they had said over the phone, after two weeks they just sent it back to me without doing anything in the same box with the same packing material that I had used to send it to them. When I complained they said to send it back again and they would provide a shipping label. This took 3 phone calls and a week before the label was emailed to me. It was received back at Watertech a week ago and nobody has returned emails or phone calls when I asked about the status. Finally I was able to reach a human and was told that "it is waiting to be looked at, maybe this week". I suggest not dealing with this company.
Customer Review: works great for what it is Summary: 4 Stars
this product works just fine for what its supposed to do. i have a 12' above ground pool and needed a better way to get the grass and dirt out of the bottom of the pool. and i must say it does work. there is a little problem with the water flow kicking up the dirt before it can suck it up, but if you move slow enough and carefully enough, it works just fine. mine came with fine silt bags as an extra. they definately work for the most part. i pretty much only use them. there will be a small amount of dirt that will still get through the filter and get back in the pool. but my pool is much much cleaner than it was. overall i'm satisfied for my purpose now. in the future when i buy a bigger pool, i will definately upgrade to a bigger vaccum
Customer Review: Cleaned up 2 handfuls of dirt! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this item to try to clean up the 2 handfuls of dirt that my daughter had thrown into our Intex 12 ft. pool. I have the vaccuum that hooks to the hose, but the particles were too fine and were flowing throw the cloth bag (and seriously, does that really classify as a vaccuum??). This vaccuum came with 2 polyester bags to put inside the filter to allow the fine particles of dirt to stay in the vaccuum and not get blown around the pool. I LOVE it and I give it 5 stars! It is easy to turn on and off, easy to remove the filter cloth and rinse, and easy to reach into the middle of the pool. It is a breeze to clean the pool now. This was well worth the money!
Customer Review: Not bad, but not good either Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this to clean my in-ground spa as I have an automatic cleaner for the main pool. I struggle to get the pump-attached vac into the spa without creating air pockets in the hose leading to reduced suction. Anyway, it works ok at picking up the small debris in the spa. My main complaint is that the outlet jets for the pump stir up the adjacent dirt, so it takes multiple passes to get everything clean (this is especially the case in tight areas around the steps / seats.
I was really hoping this would work like a DustBuster for underwater, but it is too underpowered for other than occasional spot cleaning.
Customer Review: Great for small pick ups Summary: 3 Stars
I have one of those intex pools, 16 feet wide. This product is great for a small pick up. What I mean by that is I create a whirlpool, wait for the stuff to settle in the middle, then use the vac to get the small area of debris. I don't think it has the power to do the whole pool, however, and the filter size is rather small. I got to agree with everyone who has said that it is hard to turn on and off. I tried using some silicon to lube the o ring, that helped a little, but you definitely need a good amount of strength. so, bottom line, overall a pretty crappy product, but works for what i need it to do.
