Customer Review: Works well, but a little hard to use

On the whole this is a good product and much less expensive than other ways to clean our little pool. But it doesn't seem to be well machined. Getting the extension pole in and out is very difficult. Turning it on and off is very difficult - it is too stiff and tight. And putting the filter in when you are using the fine filter is also very difficult - almost impossible to slide the gasket into its slot. Once everything has been assembled it works well, so I would recommend it, but with some cautions.Customer Review: Poor Design

I bought the Catfish about a year ago. I was excited when it arrived but that didn't last long. Within the first week the seal to the motor started to leak. So I returned it to the company for a replacement. They sent me one that obviously had the same problem because the screws on that "new" one they sent me was rusted as well. I used it for maybe another 12 times and it's seal leaked as well... Now it's a Dead Catfish and I'll never buy another one.. What a waste of my money and time!Customer Review: Love my Catfish

I have used our Catfish for 2 years now and love it. I would hate not to have it. Just make sure if your planning to purchase it you buy the fine filter which will pick up the sand and smaller debis. If you have alot of leaves you may want to get them out of the pool before you use the catfish. I have not used my regular vacuum all season long I have only used my catfish. I would purchase this again and I am talking my best friend into buying one for herself to make her life easier.Customer Review: Now I see why this pool tool is labeled as a toy, do not buy

This is supposed to be a pool vac for cleaning your pool. The suction on it is very poor and it looks like a toy. The description for the product is for a pool cleaner yet it was categorized as a toy. If runs like a toy. I do not recommend this at all. Instead deal with the hoses and set your filter to vacuum mode. The ratings have 1 star in each category because it would not let me submit with a zero value. My rating is zero for this.

The unit worked well (within its limitations) for the first 6 months. Then stopped working all together. The return process for getting warranty repairs is a major hassle. I prepaid shipping charges for the return, but did not get shipping label. I finally just shipped it to the facility (again at my expense) for repair. One month later, not a word from Water Tech. The concept is great, but the product is cheaply constructed. I say skip it.
