Tools and Hardware Reviews of Waterpik CF-201 Cascadia Dual Mode 8-Inch Showerhead, White

Customer Review: low water pressure isnt attiquate for some family members.
Summary: 4 Stars

now let me tell you this, if you were to purchase this for someone that gets angry easily when there isnt anough water pressure, u may have this in storage soon after installing it.
it could be better with the water pressure (i tried both of the settings, plus i tried it with the little metal thing or whatever they are talking about tooken out).
so if u are going to buy this, make sure u want to have a nice relaxing shower with low watr pressure. it was convienent for me but other family members do not appreciate the calamity of the rain shower head by waterpik(cascadia)
right and so we got the new showerhead off within im going to state a week, and the old one was back on, not to my disadvantage though because i appreciate the water pressure that my old shower head has right.. yes.
also, i have read like all the reviews on it before i decided to buy and let me tell you i did do the one thing where u try to position it differently(turn to the side) and it did fall down one time it startled me i had to be really careful the other times because theres a way to do it that (i really didnt conquer this way) makes it smooth(although it did move smoothly a couple times) but sometimes when u move it its like quirky(not smooth)
so i think that if u do it right and it moves smooth, then it doesnt fall down(it was pushed to the hightest distance above my head)
also let me tell you that this showerhead u have to be careful when u change the settings... because when u do u can break it i read in the reviews. sometimes i was kind of scared to change it to the other setting but it was fine i didnt get to use it that long though as i stated above.
another thing i noticed is the directions say to put it in the position u want BEFORE U INSTAL IT. so i think its not really meant to be moved that much anyways.

makes the shower much more calm but an upgrad would be to have it more water pressure like an extra setting.
not to mention i think it could be a bit bigger(as in wider so its more like ur in the rain) lol.

Customer Review: Great shower, bad construction
Summary: 4 Stars

I agree with everyone else. This shower head is a great concept and it works really well....when everything is "perfect." I agree that the toggle switch is hard to press, but since it is plastic, it is flimsy at the same time, so you are worried that you are gonna break it every time you switch spray modes. One of the 'pros' though is that when you take it out of the cradle & switch to the hard spray, it works well for cleaning & rinsing the shower when you clean with scrubbing bubbles, etc.

But as others have said....the same thing happend to us, the plastic holder piece cracked both inside the 'U' and outside. I actually patched it twice with epoxy compound & it worked, but now it just cracked again this morning in the same spot where I patched it, so the head will not stay seated in the cradle. That makes it useless, since it hangs down from the hose. I can probably fix it one last time, but I think we are gonna just get something new.

I guess the "good" part is that we have had this one for about 5 years, so it did last a while.

*****UPDATE***** 8/17/10
So I just got off the phone with WaterPik (there is a toll-free # for customer service on their website), and asked them about a replacement part for just the bracket/holder, I saw one listed on the website for $5.99 but wanted to make sure it was the correct fit for this model showerhead. They said sure, and simply offered to send me one for free. I said great and gave them my address information.

I can only assume that they are well aware of the problem of the holder breaking, and if a customer calls, they simply offer to send a free replacement.

Customer Review: Family members who like showers love this!
Summary: 4 Stars

I am not a shower person myself. I prefer a nice hot tub. But I got the Cascade shower head for my husband and daughter who are both tall. They love it, thought they wish the force of the water as it falls would have more. But this is restricted in our community mainly because there is a limited amount of water available to the house, and if I am running the washer, the shower has less force. The Cascadia also has a sharper, more forceful blast of water, which I love, because it scratches my back! I take more showers with this particular shower head. It was also bought for my son-in-law who had just moved into a house about a hundred years old, and the shower head in that one was horrible. I also just bought it as a gift to my father for his birthday, who is also a shower person. The Cascadia comes with an easily attached and longer ribbed hose so that it can be moved upwards for the taller members of my family or downward for us shorties. No, the product isn't like the great showers in those WEston commercials, but for those of us who cannot afford to have the plumbing for several expensive shower heads placed in our small bathrooms, this particular item from Waterpik has pleased us immensely. I am sure in a few years or less, someone will come up with better ideas for shower heads that are reasonably priced and don't require major construction!...

Customer Review: What a good deal!!
Summary: 4 Stars

Okay, so I know it's not perfect, but it's great! Consider this: Purchased it in January of 2005 for the only shower/tub in a household with three people and it's still going strong! (This is nearly three years later.) It takes no tools and no mechanical skill to put the thing on, which is good in itself. It extends well into the tub and I find that I have much less water going all over the place since I put this in to replace a regular showerhead. The waterfall is lovely. I have used the other setting, but didn't want to ruin this inexpensive device by messing with it too much, so stopped that. Also have tried over the years to keep the arm in one position so that I don't weaken the flexible tubing. I read from others that it could become weak, so I didn't want to make that happen. Once in a while a houseguest would move it and that would make me have to adjust it again, but it still manages to hold itself up. As far as how it looks, I would rather not have the gray color in the flexible tubing, but hey--look at the price!!! Someday when this thing finally bites the dust I may replace it with a chrome model, but for now I feel this has been an almost perfect purchase. If nothing else, it is a very inexpensive way to see if you like a waterfall showerhead.

Customer Review: Great, and it holds up well
Summary: 5 Stars

I've held off reviewing this for a couple of years now, waiting to see how it would hold up. My initial experience was very positive. Took about five minutes to install, and the only tool required was a wrench to remove the old shower head.

The back story is that my wife fell in love with those big, cascading showerheads at a nice hotel, and wanted one for home. I had bought her a metal one at Home Depot, and it was OK for a while, but eventually lost pressure and just kinda trickled. This WaterPik model claimed to regulate the pressure, so it sounded like a good step.

I was concerned about the plastic construction and the weight of the showerhead possibly causing the whole thing to droop over time.

Two years later, I can report that the water pressure is still excellent, the plastic has held up perfectly, and the shower head still holds up, even though we adjust it fairly frequently. We've been so pleased with it, we bought two more (yes, we have three showers), and all are working great. Guests rave about the wonderful showerhead (especially those who used the rather feeble ones we used to have).

All in all, I'm totally satisfied after two years of daily use.
