Customer Review: Not as good as the previous model

I owned two waterpik shower heads of the previous model. One needed replacement. This newer version doesn't have the same pressure, intensity, or spray width. Having said that, it's an OK shower head. It has a narrower shower breadth than normal. Water either projects from the outside holes or the inside holes. Never get a constant stream from all holes...not designed that way. I removed the water saving device to increase pressure and noticed no difference. Wish they wouldn't have "upgraded". This is the 2nd buy of this same product only because it was left behind at my former residence. I am short and do not shampoo my hair every day but love to take a shower. The Waterpik Flex hose allows me to do that wonderfully and if there are taller folks wanting to use the shower after me.....a slight bend of the hose is all that is necessary. My only complaint is that they are not available in the stores any more and they used to come in white, now only a chrome and grey version are available. We had almost the same type (same brand) and it broke. We had it several years and loved the idea of the flexibility. The one we just ordered is a disappointment because, #1 It doesn't stay up when we want it to, #2, There is a little drip of cold water that flows down on one side, and #3 It sure doesn't pulsate as hard as the last one (yes we took out the energy saving device) and having fibromyalgia, I really need the harder pulsating massage. I was replacing an older model (10 years old) of the same product. The installation is a breeze just pop the old off and screw the new one on. We have been very happy with this model. The settings really messed up on the older model if they were changed daily this new one had a different way of changing the settings which should last longer. The flex hose holds very well and the pressure on the lower setting is still wonderful. I am planning on putting this in all showers. This showerhead is perfect for a shower shared by someone short (me) and someone tall (my husband) as it can be adjusted up or down, toward the side of the shower or right in the middle of the shower. I have had this model in three houses and a duplex over the past few years, and replace it with the exact same thing whenever I have to. I have also caught my husband using it to rinse down the sides of the shower, kind of like a hand-held sprayer would work - but I wouldn't encourage that sort of behavior.
