I purchased this filter to install in-line on my icemaker. It was to replace the bottled water service that I had before. The water tastes just as good as the bottled water and is much cheaper. Even if I get three years out of the filter it will be worth it. It comes packaged with two adapters so you can hook it up to 1/4" tubing.Customer Review: It's a water filter that filters water. This replace my old 1,500 gallon ice and water filter with a 20k gallon filter for a very reasonable price. It was easy to install and seems to be doing what a water filters do, so, mission accomplished! I wish I could say it turns water to wine but that may be asking a bit much for 30 some-odd bucks.Customer Review: nice water filter

I have had this filter in use for approx. 8 months. So far so good. The water tastes great. I bought this unit due primarily to lazyness. My installation is in a tough to reach place and I wanted to avoid changing out the unit every year or so. No complaints so far. The unit has performed well.Customer Review: very LARGE inline filter

When I ordered this I wondered how it could last for 5 years. This thing is the size of a summer sausage. Not that's a problem. It makes the flexible water line lay nicely behind the refrigerator. Water tastes better after a gallon or two run through it.Customer Review: Good compact water filter.

This filter is compact and came with the necessary fittings to install it. Because of it's compact size it easily fit behind my refrigerator. The price for this five year filter was better then I had been paying for a three year filter.
