Customer Review: Noisy hissing RO

This unit replaced an older RO that was no longer functioning properly. My major complaint is the loud hissing/gurgling as the tank fills. It goes on for hours even if you only remove a quart of water from the tank. I have a tiny house with the living room and kitchen open. I have to schedule when I use this RO so it fills up when I'm not in that area. The unit was professionally installed and I have been unable to reach the company to make a complaint. My water pressure is adequate. If it were not so expensive to do, I would have it replaced with some other unit.Customer Review: Amazingly loud hissing sound

I was using a 5-stage Genesis V system from Havapure for years. It was quiet, and produced good water. I just moved and bought this system. It has an "air gap facuet" which means that it hisses when it's filtering. It sounds like a mini garden hose, and lasts for about 20 minutes for each glass of water. It's beyond irritating to have in the house. It was professionally installed, but it's going back to Amazon *tomorrow*. I can't believe people listen to this after each drink of water. I wish I could give it 0 stars...

The quality of the water is excellent... I probably drink more water than ever before.
However, if you don't like noises, the system can make a bit of noise when it's first installed. Meanwhile, right now, as I am using this system, occasionally water will drip onto the side. So, you better hope and pray it will stop quickly soon after it happens. Otherwise, you will discover flooding around the sink and perhaps dripping to the floor. If you are not an observant user, this system could drive you nuts occasionally.

We are pleased with our water filter. The kit is complete and the instructions are good, but not great. There are more tubing connections than I anticipated. For example, 3 tubes go to the faucet alone. The result is a bit of a rat's nest and uses up most of the under sink space.
Having had a plastic ice maker line that failed, while a friend's plastic lines to his R.O. unit failed,(brand unknown and not relevant anyway), I plan to turn it off on extended trips away from home.

This works better then the Boat RO system I had turning salt water into the best ,clearest tasting water we have drank. Its a wiz to install- didn,t take half the room I thought it would. And installation took all of 30 mins. max. Water quality is 4 stars for us in tastelessness. I could rave on about this- but I will say We got it right picking this model and brand. Yoo-hoo . I am sparkling clean and glistening clear.
Recommend it to everyone.
