I received this a couple of days ago. Did the plastic tub with water hose test since I don't need to use it at the moment. Very quiet and from a 50' hose it would apear approx 40 psi stream. Or the stream is about 80% of a non-requlated water source. The pump is a Utility Pump, not for irrigation. It gets water out fast from where you don't want it. I believe the specs and output are close to what the MFG claims as reflected with other buyers comments. The design seems to be robust from the start. Careful of the plastic connections and don't drop it. Price hard to beat from Amazon vs local hardware store. Had good luck with super savers shipping. Though this time it took 10 days. I used to this to drain water out of my in-ground pool. The first time I used it, I attached a 3/4" garden hose. It worked pretty well with good flow, but I had a feeling it could be better. I went to the big box home store and bought the proper drain hose and now it pumps out water like a mofo. After removing the pump, it was warm to the touch, but I had it going for about 6 hours. Don't waste time with the smaller pumps; I thought this would have too much flow, but I was just right. The rated flow is under perfect conditions which I didn't have. I also liked the fact that I was able to order on a Friday and received it on Saturday with my prime membership.

I purchased this pump to remove rain water that collected on my pool cover. I bought a 1 1/4 inch discharge hose kit from a local home store because it was cheaper than Amazon. The pump worked great and did exactly what it is supposed to do...remove water. I plugged it in and it immediately started removing the water. There were leaves and other debris in the water that did not create any problems for the pump. The discharge power was good. I am happy with the pump. I really have no other use for it yet, so it will be used annually for that purpose until another need arises (I hope none arise).Customer Review: Wayne 1/2 HP pump

It worked right out of the box. I used the included garden hose connector and hooked up a 50 ft, 5/8ths inch hose. The rise from the bottom of the pump was about 4 feet. The flow I got was about 5 gallons a minute, a bit slower than I expected, but it worked okay for what I needed. I may get a larger and shorter hose and I think it will improve a lot. My use was to drain the last six inches of waster out of a landscape pond and I liked the pumping to the last 1/8 inch of water. It did clog with debris once for me and I took off the bottom cover. This is the worst pump in the market as per the size of the motor it has.
I bought this product because I had to get the water out of my pool.
The pool is almost 10 feet deep. This pump was not able to get the water out of there.
I returned the pump same day to Amazon. Amazon's service is excellent.As soon as they received the pump
they returned my money. So do not buy this pump if you need to lift it more than few feet.
I bought another pump with same size motor and it worked excellent.
