EXCELLENT UTILITY PUMP THAT I USE TO REMOVE WATER FROM MY POOL COVER. SMALL OBJECTS GET PUMP THROUGH THE PUMP & HOSE. CAN USE A GARDEN HOSE OR A 1 1/4" DISCHARGE HOSE. THE ONLY NEGITIVE IS THAT VERY LARGE LEAVES WILL CLOG THE PUMP. WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS TO REMOVE WATER FROM A POOL COVER.Customer Review: Works Great!

Previous pump (another brand) was worn out and we also wanted one with the hose connection not on the top. When the hose connection is on top, the pump tips over too easily. I purchased this pump about 6 months ago. It is great. We have had very heavy, flooding rain here for days and our sub pump could not keep up. The pump works fine but it needs to be in no less than 4-5 inches of water. It's *not* like other utility sump pumps that can sit on the floor and pump the water out down to 1/4". Therefore, it didn't do me any good as I don't have a sump hole to put it in.
