Okay, I'm also a bit jealous of my buddy's gas powered hedge trimmer unit.
I had just gotten a brand new ELECTRIC hedge trimmer unit with 100 foot spool of electrical cord.
WEATHER NOTE: The rain in the ElPaso, TX and southern NM has been brutal this year.
A few folks in my area filed for FEMA; it was that bad.
So vegetation growth skyrocketed.
Vegetation became so high and so thick that my normal grass cutting weedeater (with it's special .095 dual line head) just choked on it.]
I had to resort to the old manual-powered, hedge trimmer cutters in order to clear my back yard.
That got old REAL QUICK.
So I went to walmart and found a "demo" unit, marked down to $15, electric WEED EATER brand HEDGE TRIMMER.
That worked much better.
Once my friend received his gas weedeater, I sweet talked him into letting me use his for about 30 minutes (so I could reach the places that my 100 foot length power cord would not allow me to reach).
My buddy's gas unit was great
This gas hedge trimmer worked great on both the small trees that sprung up and on tall, thick brush-like weeds that would ultimatey become tumbleweeds.]
This is one tool I'll be "borrowing" again.
