Customer Review: Output is 12v AC instead of 12v DC

Product description does not detail that output voltage is 12v AC--I wasn't aware that there were 12v AC lighting systems. For the project I was working on, I needed 12v DC & I had assumed this transformer was such. I bought a $2.49 bridge rectifier from Radio Shack which 'rectified' the problem so no worries.
