Customer Review: Either Don't Buy It Or Buy A Brighter One

Yes, I read the reviews before I bought this, but I decided to buy it anyway.
This light is so dim and so blue that it's not practical. It's equal to about a 15 watt bulb, not 40.
If you want to try an LED bulb then buy a brighter one based on the lumen rating. After searching I've found a 13 watt LED bulb with 900 lumen, but it's $70. Subtract wasted money from this and it's really only $60.

This bulb is almost too dim and too blue to use for a refrigerator. I say almost. I replaced one of the two bulbs in the refrigerator with this, and had hoped to be able to replace them both. Not going to happen. Looks like I will keep a 25 watt incandescent for brightness and color, and use this bulb as a "fill light." The two watt bulbs I have in the vanity mirror seem brighter and truer in color than these. Hey, at least it fit into the refrigerator bulb socket - many of these "green" bulbs don't.Customer Review: very good reading light and efficient

I bought this a while ago (probably some time last year) when it was priced way over $10 then. I use this for my table lamp and have been happy with it. The good thing about this LED bulb is that although its light is a little dim, it has no glare (unlike CFL bulb with UV light) and is very comfortable to eyes, which therefore makes it a good reading light. Don't expect its light to be like regular light you know but accept it as is, beside, you would definitely see the lower electricity bill using this.Customer Review: Dim and Blue

I had hoped to replace some 25 watt light bulbs with these, but they are much to dim and the light color is a distinct blue. Even with all five bulbs in place in the bathroom fixture, the bathroom was dark and "blue". A definite no. I have placed these in outside fixtures out back to provide a guide to the door. They are not bright enough for much else. Not a 25 watt bulb replacement; maybe a 10-15 watt equivalent, and then there is the distinct blue color of the light. This bulb is dimmer than a 15 watt incandescent bulb. I did not see any TV interference, although the box says it could happen. However, this bulb is just too weak for any place I might use it. The bulb comes in a nicely printed box. This is unusual as most led bulbs purchased through the internet have plain white boxes with very little writing on them. The price of this bulb seems to have varied widely from time to time and place to place in the last 2 months, up to june 8, 2010.
