I cant really review a filter - it does its job and it does it well. WE use it in our Kenmore unit and thus I have nothing to complain about.
My only gripe with this and with every other filter....whats with the prices? I cant imagine these cost so much to manufacture.
All that aside.....these are 10/10 in my book.
They are more expensive at k-mart or sears and Amazons shipping/cost savings/no tax saves a few bucks....

Satisfied with this product. Great tasting water and I love the fact that my Ice is filtered also. I wish they would make a filter that would remove flouride. Why do they insist on flouride? I drink bottled water that has no flouride but cant get filtered water without flouride. That is so weird. I still limit myself to the water because of this reason however I cant get bottled ice so this is a good product if you want filtered ice that still has flouride in it.Customer Review: NSF Best Rated Class I - safest

The Whirlpool version here is definitely worth the price. I bought this NSF Class I (best) certified Whirlpool 4396510 here on Amazon at a slightly higher price than the PUR filter, but I would not sacrifice quality or safety for a slightly lower price.
There is no NSF certification for the PUR filter available on Amazon or on the PUR Web site. That seemed kind of sketchy. Is it Class I, II, or III? Maybe they do not get their products certified.

I've purchased this water filter twice already for my Thermador fridge. The price is good and the item is exactly the same as the filter I used to buy for $75 from a specialty store. Let me repeat myself...the $75 filter I used to order was the EXACT match even though I was told I was buying a Bosch item! We have a Sears Kenmore refrigerator (made by Whirlpool) that we purchased from Sears. These filters are the same ones branded as Sears Kenmore that we paid $43.28 on 02-10-2008. The water tastes better than tap and has the same taste as when purchased the same filters from Sears. It arrived quickly as always from Amazon.
Paid $28.99 and shipping was free. Purchased on 03-28-2010 directly from Amazon.
