Why did I wait so long? All kinds of excuses could be given, so I will not share my long list of them. After installing the Whirlpool / PUR filter I could see and taste a difference in the water and ice within a few minutes. This experience reminds me once again change the filter on a regularly scheduled basis. Also, the shipping was great.Customer Review: somthing to know about having a new filter

When I installed the new filter I didn't realize that we would go through a period where the water tasted "funny", at least that's how my wife described it. It took about a week for the taste of the water to return to normal. That was the only thing that I didn't realize when I replaced the filter. Besides that it worked fine.

THIS WAS WAY TO EASY ! I HAD PREVIOUSLY PRICED THESE CARTRIDGES IN THE
STORE WHERE WE BOUGHT THE REFRIG. BUT THEY WERE WAY TOO PRICEY.
I CAME HOME AND SHOPPED ON-LINE WITH AMAZON , GOT A GREAT PRICE INCLUDING A SPARE
TO KEEP ON HAND ! POPPED IT OUT OF THE BOX & INTO THE REFRIG .
IT COULDN'T GET ANY EASIER .

Anyone can install. No tools were required.
Filter is preforming well. I will purchase another one from Amazon when the time comes to replace. Hope this helped. This was a happy purchase with Amazon Prime.

I have only used these filters since I bought the new refrigerator. The work fine and have not had a problem. We use the water dispenser and ice machine daily and have not had a problem with these filters. I will continue to purchase these filters through Amazon. The price is competative and I have them shipped right to my door.
