We had been purchasing these water filters from a local home store. We saw that Amazon had the exact filter for less money. We ordered two. They came quickly and were the exact same ones we had been using. This was the first time I installed this filter on a Kitchenaid fridge we bought some months ago. It is easier than replacing a light bulb and right at the lower front of the refrigerator. Our previous fridge had the filter installed on the water line behind it, so I had to roll it out everytime I had to replace the filter.Customer Review: Unfavorable review

This product, unfortunately, is required on my Maytag refrigerator; terrible design; IMPOSSIBLE position located at bottom of appliance, approximately one inch from the floor; appliance owner unable to remove the filter; requires off-site male assistance. I am not impressed with this having been my first time purchasing a water filter via the internet, versus a retail location. The water does have a taste that I have not noticed in the past with store bought filters. This works great in my kenmore elite gold series side by side. Sears (where I bought the Fridge) sold me the wrong replacement cartridge the first time I needed one,so I wasn't getting the "Fast Fill" Put this one in and now have Fast -Fill. Expect no more than 6 months of life,(slows down after about 4 months)
