I was swayed by all the positive reviews and bought this product. I used 2 tablets in succession in my washer as recommended for a particularly smelly machine. It did absolutely nothing. And now I have only one tablet left in the package. It seemed like it simply perfumed the machine but there was still an underlying strong, nasty odor present. It didn't seem to clean it any better (in fact not as well) as the monthly bleach cleansing recommended by the manufacturer. My take? Don't waste your money.Customer Review: Keeping it clean!

I don't remember if this product is for the dishwasher or the washing machine. They make them for bother and the both do a remarkable job! The dishwasher tablets will clean the soap scum off of the stainless steel inside the dishwasher. It makes it look brand new. You may have to use 2-3 to get it totally fantastic, but each time you use it you will see an improvement. For the washing machine (front loading) it also does a super job refreshing the smells and keeping the tub clean and healthy!Customer Review: Try bleach first

I have a MayTag front loader washer that we've had for about 3 years. It started smelling musty and I couldn't get rid of the smell so I purchased affresh. Since there was already a smell in the washer, I followed the directions and put all 3 tablets in at once. It smelled fresh right away but once it dried out, the same musty smell was there. It took running bleach through my washer 2x's before it was better. I'd suggest using bleach before buying this product. You'll save some money.Customer Review: Save Your Money-Use Bleach Instead

My HE washer had a stinky mildew smell, so I bought Affresh to remove it since it stated that it worked better than bleach. After running 3 tablets through 3 cycles (per the directions), the washer still smelled bad. I decided to run a load of whites with bleach through and it worked like a charm. No more smell!
Affresh was pointless. It just wasted my money, time, and energy by running 3 empty cycles in the washer. ONE load of whites with bleach worked. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

The people that complain this product doesn't work, aren't following the directions. You are supposed to use one tablet EVERY single month. Not wait 2 years until your washer is beyond hope. We purchased our front load washer 25 days ago and run at least one load a day. I just used our first tablet because I was noticing a smell from the machine. The tablet worked great because the smell is gone. I will continue to use this product once a month to keep the washer smelling fresh.
