I've had an LG Tromm washer for 2 years and it progressively smelled worse and worse.
It had just about reached the point of me buying a new washer until I used the Affresh. I followed the directions, 3 cleaning cycles in a row with the Affresh and now my clothes smell clean after I wash them. It makes my $1400 washer not seem like such a bad investment anymore. This product is a must for any owner of a Tromm front-loader.

Doesn't work though we used as directed the product actually made the washer and the clothes smell worse. We're going to order some "smellywasher.com" from Amazon and keep you posted. Meanwhile we'll try 1/2 cup Borax directly on some towels as one reviewer suggested and also use HE ERA detergent as per another post. 2 stars instead of 1 because these may work if used when washer is new and 3 tablets on a monthly basis thereafter.Customer Review: Fairly good for top loader

We use this every month or so in our HE top loader. As long as we're certain to only use HE detergent, never use fabric softener, and always leave the top of the washing machine open between uses, these tablets are all we need. We do use all three tablets at once.
If we don't use affresh, our clothes start smelling, no matter how much bleach or hot water we use. Haven't tried "smelly washer".

I couldn't tell the difference in using this product. I followed the directions and used it for the first time three times in a row (1 tablet each time) and didn't see any difference in the mold on the rubber gasket. These tabs are expensive. Maybe they work if your washer is brand new and you start using it from the beginning, but my washer is 4 years old and they didn't have this product then!Customer Review: Works well, although expensive.

We have owned our front loader for about three years. After about one year we noticed the smell, and a friend recommended these tablets. They work perfectly. It is important to use enough the first time around to really get rid of the residue. Until you do that, they will not work.
I have seen better prices at Lowe's or Home Depot than here on Amazon, though.
