Customer Review: OK for storage, not for food preparation

I bought this rack to be a food prep area, but it was too unstable and rickety for this purpose. The wood prep board is a bit lower than most counter tops also. I had a lot of trouble with assembly, as the plastic parts to connect the metal frame pieces did not seem to fit properly or connect the frame securely. One of the plastic connecting pieces even fell off a couple days after it was assembled.
I now use the cutting board to store small electric appliances like a rice cooker and coffee maker. It's OK for storage, but I don't recommend it for food prep.
