In the middle of ,winter, I always start getting headaches and gritty eyes despite having the humidity on my furnace up to 50-60% At work the heat is constantly on in the hospital and also makes me feel terrible. I bought this humidifer initially for my desk at the hospital where I work, because it's small. It made all the difference and even my co-workers in my vicinity are benefitting from it. They feel better with the humidity that my little device is putting into the air! It hardly takes up any space and it's easily portable (like a tea kettle) so that I can carry it to a water source for fillups (does not need distilled water--can use water right from the tap) You can dial the amount of humidity you want and you do not even hear it when it's up to full blast. The air feels neutral, neither hot or cold, so it's perfect. It stops working when the water level gets low, so that there is no worry about forgetting to turn it off and overheating if left. I loved it so much that I bought one for next to my bedside and for my daughter's room Cannot recommend it highly enough!!
