Customer Review: Works as designed

I used these (although purchased at Best Buy in a kit), together with the wider Wiremold C50 White Cordmate II 5-Foot Wire Channel,, to route speaker wire for my surround system. The wider version is easier to use than the smaller version - although both have their benefits.
I did not use the connectors provided in the kit, as the ends line up pretty well without it. I did not paint them, as it matched my molding well enough.
With the wider version, you can stick it on the wall with the opening exposed, run the wires through while its open, then snap it closed easily. With the smaller version, its easier to run the wire through it before you stick it the wall, and I was never actually able to get them to snapped closed. But this didn't really cause a problem as the opening doesn't really show, and I also have them hidden behind my curtains.
I was able to get two 16 guage speaker wires into one of the smaller version, but just barely. In the wider version I put the two speaker wires, as well as another thin wire, and there is still room for at least one more wire.
All-in-all, a very easy product to use and much better than routing wires through the walls

I really do like the concept of the Cordmate and it does look really nice once installed. However, it is almost impossible to snap closed without a pair of pliers to squeeze it shut. If you want to put anything larger than a lamp cord or a telephone cable in this, your best bet is to feed the cable into the wiremold and forget about trying to push it in through the gap. I tried the latter with an RG6 coax cable and got about two feet before starting to get a blister on my left thumb and my right thumb started to get sore.
I had to end up snipping one of the F-connectors off the coax and feeding the cable into the wiremold. After I got it all in the position I wanted, I took a pair of pliers and squeezed it all shut, then pulled the tape and adhered it to the baseboard. Of course, I did cut my a finger pretty good when the wiremold slipped in my hand whilst trying to feed the coax though.
It's just far too rigid for my liking and brutal to snap shut. If they could fix those two defects it would be an almost perfect product.

If you want cord cover for one cord (a small one), this is it! If not, look a little closer! I paid more for shipping this item than for the item itself and I didn't have time to open for a while due to the craziness of my life! However, when I did...I was shocked at how very tiny it was and now they won't make the exchange without me paying shipping again. this is a perfect wiremolding to hide and neatly organized ur wires and cable wires into this it is very easy to do i did my livinig room and my masterroom with this i mount all my wires into the wiremolding for a neatly well organized room this is the stuff u need to blend into the wall for well suited by urself do it urself project a+++++Customer Review: Works, OK, cheaper at local Home Depot

It works ok and is a perfect size for a single ethernet cable. The adhesive seems to be coming off after a few months of sticking to the ceiling, but sticking to the wall seems to work better.
After initially buying this from Amazon, I found the same product at Home Depot for about half the cost (minus tax).
