Customer Review: Hard to close and difficult to get wire inside...

I was very disappointed in this product. It is extremely difficult to get the wire inside of it. And it's virtually impossible to snap shut.
Though it's easy to cut and the adhesive backing adheres strongly to baseboards and/or walls, I really expected the "snap open and shut" to mean there was an actual hinge on the cover, which there isn't.
Don't be fooled by that "hinged" claim. What is called a hinge is really just two interlocking grooves on one end that really don't come together except by sheer force. So there is absolutely no way to conveniently open/close the cover as the product specs claim.

It holds 1 coax or 1 power cord and enough space to hold 1 small pair of speaker wires. It's really great at hiding just the speaker wire which was probably the design idea. Yes it's difficult to close and open hence my 4 star rating but if you plan ahead, once you close it you won't have to open it back up. And use a hacksaw for goodness sake, don't use scissors like the other reviewer. Something like this: Quick Release HacksawCustomer Review: Nice product

Used this product to run wires from our wall-mounted 32 inch LCD flat screen to the outlet/DVD player/DVI adapter for our Apple MacBook. Looks so much cleaner than cords hanging! Easy to install. Only negative is the plastic is quite rigid, so it takes some work to get thicker cords snapped into the conduit. Would be nice to have a bit more pliable plastic. This is the second time I have used these and overall am very happy. I've paid a significant amount more for cable management and for the price these work well. After 2 years, 2 of the original 8 lengths are starting to lose adhesiveness, but that is easily solved with some double sided tape. They also take paint very well as we painted ours to match our walls.Customer Review: Dimensions do not match what is advertised

Ok, So the dimensions indicate 1.0" x `1.5". This wiremold is barely large enough to hold one hdmi cable. The actual dimensions are .5"x.5" (outside diameter). This is not going to work for tv cables. This is probably ideal for hiding a cable for a lamp and thats about all. I should have read the reviews.
