Tools and Hardware Reviews of Wiremold C210 White Cordmate II KitCustomer Review: Does the Job Summary: 4 Stars
Got this item to conceal the wires that would hang between my wall mounted 42 inch plasma TV and the entertainment stand below it which holds my cable box and DVD player. There were three wires to conceal in all - cable box wire (regular coaxial cable thickness); HDMI wire from DVD player to TV (slightly thinner than coaxial cable); and cable for TV plug to wall (very thick for some reason). The cableholder just barely held these three cables (but it did hold them. remember you dont have to get the head of the cable through the cordmate - it can open up so you can clip it over the hanging cables (very convenient). The cordmate is also very paintable to match your walls. paint before you stick it on wall and use a roller not a brush. I used a brush at first and it was harder to paint and was leaving brush lines (could have been brush I was using but...). Anyway, good product and inexpensive - I would buy again for such uses. easier to cut as well than I thought it would be.
Customer Review: These are miracle workers Summary: 5 Stars
Forever I have fought cabling issues, I have a large home theater setup + home theater PCs and the cables have always been a mess. I purchased 7 kits, I needed 82+ feet of this stuff and it all turned out perfectly. The accessories allow you to come up with some very creative solutions. The runway itself is fairly large and can hold several wires but there are limits. Here is what I was able to get.
1. 18g Speaker cable - 3 cables and it was maxed out, I couldn't fit anymore.
2. Component cable (3 cables, 18g) All fit inside a single one.
3. HDMI - Fit well inside its own runway along with a single 18g speaker cable.
Overall very very satisified. I will say that some have complained about removing it, I had that fear to but I looked into. Google double sided 3M tape which this uses and there are lots of tips for removal.
Customer Review: STICKY Summary: 5 Stars
Seems to be as advertised and I'm happy with our application.
Three notable observations:
1) The adhesive is super sticky and adheres instantly (so line it up well!). I think this is a plus, part of ours is actually on glass and I was worried about the piece popping off...no worries there now! That said, installation was a breeze.
2) The track compartment snaps and seals well, and reoppening is easy and doesn't seem to negatively strech the plastic.
3) The inside dimensions of the track are 7/8"W x 3/8"H. This is sufficeient for about 3 cables. I have a thinner AC cord + a Coax + a thick HDMI and I'm pretty sure nothing else will fit in the future. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it though. --I saw someone else's review point the size limitation out, and I thought I'd second it.
This is a reccommended product for sure.
Customer Review: OK, but way too expensive. Summary: 4 Stars
This wire manager kit has everything you need... elbows, 4ft long rails, etc but its way too expensive for a simple plastic product. It looks like its "Made in USA" stated on the actual product packaging, so I guess I don't feel too bad supporting us... wait a minute... a high volume sales plastic thing still made right here? WOW, now I'm impressed. Anyway, it works good, sticks well to the wall, looks good too. I was able to fit two 12 gauge speaker cables and a coaxial cable TV wire thru it and still manage to close the latch, though a bit tricky. Overall nice product. I have seen the real cheapo versions of these and this is better than those. A bit of advice installing... lay down on your stomach when applying it right above your molding, to be sure it is going on straight, take your time or you'll be pulling your wall down to fix it.
Customer Review: Simple to use - fantastic! Summary: 5 Stars
I did a lot of research on cord-covers.
The research was not thrilling, I assure you.
However, since I didn't want to go through the walls to hide the HDMI/POWER cords, I was in the market for cord-covers/concealers. I felt it important that the cord covers be reliable, easy to use, durable and as invisible as possible.
These Wiremold cord-covers are fantastic. Flat out.
I painted each piece first (long strips, elbows, t-connectors, etc) - 2 coats and then, armed with a level - installed them in about 15 minutes.
My wife walked in - and from a distance of about 15 feet, couldn't even see the Wiremold system!
Highly-effective, easy to use - and inexpensive, to boot! Quality stuff.
