Customer Review: Bug Off in the Mountains

I live in the mountains where the spring is awesomem,the summer hot and the fall beautiful! We loved to leave the doors open for the fresh air, but this was when the bugs are at their worst so we ended up keeping them shut. The amount of bugs we use to get into the house was horrible. Took the enjoyment of the fresh air away. I purchased a Bug Off screen for my French Doors a few months ago. Wow what a difference. It worked so well I purchased this one for my side door. I can now leave my doors open. The dogs can come and go as they please. It only took them a moment to realize they could go in and out without any help. This was a big plus as we used shut the doors when the bugs were bad and then it was up and down for the dogs. Also had my 2 years old grand-twins up and they too had an easy time. As advertised you can go in and out with your hands full no problem. On the wider doors I do recommend using the center clip - makes all the difference. Very easy to install and as far as the Velcro, it has worked for me. I did have to move one and after you take it off and try to re-stick it, it doesn't work so well. Also, it removed the paint. So make sure you have the Velcro where you want it before sticking it. I found putting the screen as close to the door as possible works best for me, but your preference. If the screen is a little big you can gather it at the ends and it still works great. Is it perfect, no, I see a bug "once in a while", but the difference is awesome. I can now enjoy not only the fresh air, but also the view from my French Doors. I anticipate using these screens spring, summer and fall. In the winter when it snows, I can just take it down until spring. I would recommend and have, this product to anyone who either doesn't want or can't use a permanent screen.
