Based on a recent product review by Readers Digest, I purchased the ProCaulk kit. It included a flimsy plastic caulk remover, which I didn't attempt to use, and 3 little rubber tools. I need to find out where RD tested this tool: in a real home or in a perfect model setup where there are no faucets or contoured shower surrounds. I applied my own caulk around my tub, in a generous line, and was not able to even touch it with any of the tools. I applied caulk to a 3 ft area on the backsplash in the kitchen, behind the faucet. Again, the tool did not fit in that area. The only area I was able to use the ProCaulk tool instead of my finger was at the base of the tub, where the tub and floor tiles meet. Now I'm $11.00 poorer but, oh, so much wiser. And the ProCaulk is laying in the county dump where it belongs. Just stick with your finger.Customer Review: Works well and good caulk

Contrary to other reviewers, my tube of caulk was not hard. I used it and it worked well. I took the advice of other reviewers and masked both sides of the caulking line before caulking and I must say that it is the best way to do it. Without masking it is a less perfect-looking caulk job as I tried it once without masking. But, as most commercials seem to be the most perfect of hundreds of video takes, Xpress Seal Pro isn't nearly the "miracle-cure" of the caulking world that the commercials seem to indicate. It still takes a little common sense and general know-how. I recommend reading the reviews before purchasing anything. Two-thumbs up!Customer Review: I was more than satisfied...

I was happy to find this product on Amazon. Another website advertising this product was on www.ripoffreport.com with many posts saying that people ordered the product and never received it...being out $25. So I was nervous when I ordered it but was thrilled when I DID get it.
The product worked fine. The commercial does seem to make it look easier than it was but after using the product and re-watching the commerical, you can only really work about 12 in at a time and not run a 2 ft bead of caulk. The more caulk you run...the messier it is.
So order the product, go 12 - 18 in at a time and it works fine.

I just got at Home Depot for $9.95 but even at that price it was a waste of my money. I tried every which way to make any of the corners on the plastic work when I applied caulk around my bathtub, and finally in the end, I used my finger - which by the way worked perfectly. With the finger you can press the caulk in groves and corners to make sure those deeper empty spaces can be filled with caulk, the tool does not let you do this. The other problem i had, no matter how hard i tried, I just could not find the right way to hold it. None of the corners on the tool seemed to do the job. Beware!! This seller is re-selling a $19.95 item (see links below) for roughly 3x the original price (at the time of this review). It appears that all he's done is remove it from the manufacturers original packaging.
If you've got an extra $40.00 you don't need, buy this one. Otherwise, get it from another Amazon seller for less.
