Customer Review: Extremely Poor shipping/handling

I purchased the item as a Christmas gift for my mother. Shipping time was reasonably good (a week). The shipping and handling by UPS was not good at all. The box was completely ripped open on the top and bottom, the instruction booklet was separated from the rest of the box. The blower was sitting on my porch with just the box draped over it. The sides of the box were also pushed in, but the unit appears to be ok. I am sure it was thrown around and hopefully it still works. I did plug it in and it appears to work. I'm hoping & assuming everything that was supposed to be in the box was there. The box needs some major taping and will still look awful to give as a gift. Hopefully some efforts will be made to improve shipping more of these units in the future.Customer Review: Snow Fox adequate

Given the limitations of a single stage snowblower coupled with an electric motor I feel that the Snow Fox performs as well as can be expected.
On the plus side, it is simple to set up, fairly light to handle, has some directional control,and is always ready as long as there is electrical power available. It is also largely plastic so that it is gentle on my deck surface.
On the down side, it is small, which means that a heavy snowfall or a large area to clear will take an extended work session. I have not had occasion to test it on wet snow yet and I am not confident that it will have the power to cope with that problem.
All in all I am satisfied that it will perform as expected and will fill my need for a device to clear my home's deck.

When I first bought this last year, I got a chance to try it about three days later. Every thing good that every review has mentioned happened to me. It was quiet, powerful, easy to maneuver and sure beat a broom! Even one of the problems that some people let really bother them was easy to fix. I sure don't expect every person to be a "handy person", but getting the machine to throw snow to the side was not hard to fix. I made it throw about 45 degrees or a little less to either side and it works great. I liked the machine before I fixed that, but time on my hands... I've observed a couple of my neighbors using them before the winter was over. I would recommend it to anyone that likes a trouble free machine that makes some of the soreness go away!Customer Review: Feel as if it is summer again........

No other product can whisk you away into a summer dreamland more effortlessly than the SnowFox Snow Thrower.
Abs flexed imagine being towed behind the Mastercraft Stars & Stripes Competition Ski Boat. My golden locks dancing in the wind. My body...... a glistening masterpiece worthy of a postcard. The size of the spray from the SnowFox is only matched by the wall of water created by my top-of-the-line Connely single ski, as I smoothly slice through the wake. Be the envy of the neighborhood and leave onlookers speechless as you carve through the slalom course (mistake free) in record time.
Do yourself a favor, look no further and fill your life with exuberance immediately!

I bought this for my 75 year old broter in law to help him clear his small driveway. It seems to work okay but it came with a key in the keyhole that we can't seem to remove. I e-mailed the company and they said that sometimes it's a little tight and to just pull on it. We tried and tried but couldn't remove it. I e-mailed again and they said again that sometimes its tight. Well it's not just "tight" it's welded in there. It works so we're not going to the trouble and expense of returning it. We don't want to break the key so we just leave it in there. Luckily there are no small children around. The machine seems to work okay - like others have said it shoots snow better when it's straight ahead. For the small area that he has, it's great.
