Tools and Hardware Reviews of ZTS Mini Battery Tester - ZTS MINI-MBTCustomer Review: Small, but works great! Summary: 4 Stars
Cute, and small. When I see those LED lights come on, I feel like it's really testing the battery. Sometimes I compare the results with a traditional analog tester. I had to return the tester, though, because it was not able to test AA lithium (L91) batteries. Because I was happy with this product, I bought the next model up.
I could have been happier with the company (Adorama) selling through Amazon. It only had a 14 day, no-open-the-package return policy.
Customer Review: Battery Tester USA Summary: 4 Stars
You get what you pay for. I have tried so many of the cheap imported testers that work for a short while and then breaks for no apparent reason. I'm happy to find a domestic product and I'll pay the extra. This tester covers most household batteries. I like the feature where it puts a load on the battery to test its integrity, not just the voltage. A little care when removing the probe,I feel this is the weakest link, and it should be around for years.
Customer Review: Good Product Summary: 5 Stars
Although I am happy with the product I was not very happy with the company. A day or so after I ordered this item I decided to go directly to their website and found the same item I had just bought from them on Amazon for the same price but free shipping. I
e-mailed them about this and they never responded. So they got one sale from me but never again. I suggest that in the future you go directly to the sellers sight before buying through Amazon.
Customer Review: works great... Summary: 5 Stars
I went through a bag full of batteries that my kids had been putting "dead" batteries from their games in. A few of them tested out dead but there were a lot of them that were still at 80%. I like the fact that this tester puts a load on them, I think that's where the difference is between this one and the typical voltage tester. So far it seems to be working great because the once thought "dead" batteries are now being used and are working great.
Customer Review: worth the money Summary: 5 Stars
I needed a meter primarily to test rechargeable batteries that I was recharging with a small solar panel -- so knowing when they were "done" was essential. There were cheaper meters for sale, but they had generally bad reviews. This one cost more but was worth it. It's reliable, accurate, and it knows the difference between a rechargeable and a single-use (alkaline) battery, so you get accurate results no matter what type of battery you are testing.
