Zibra ZPCOPEN-OR Open It Universal Package Opener
I ordered one opener several weeks ago and found it so usful and satisfactory I ordered several more for family members and friends. Frankly, I forgot I had ordered the first one from Amazon, so I ordered directly from Zibra. There was some delay and a number of problems with the shipment, but Zibra resolved all issues promptly and satisfactorily. I want to commend them for prompt, exceptional and friendly service and will recommend their products to all my friends.

My husband and I received this in a Christmas gift exchange almost a year ago. It seemed a little silly and very "As Seen On TV" infomercial-like. However, it is surprisingly useful! It makes opening packages as easy as the advertisements promise. It is particularly helpful at opening the packaging around electronics, such as headphones or cords, which tend to be too thick and awkward for scissors. I use it to open regular taped packages, like an exact-o knife. I also use it to cut open everything from food packaging to cutting tags off of clothing to getting those zip-ties off of children's toy packaging. It is ridiculously useful!Customer Review: Great tool

Everyone knows how hard it is to open items packaged in clear plastic. And using a pair of your good scissors is not the most desirable thing to do, or a good thing for your scissors. Well, I was at my son's house and needed a pair of scissors to open a plastic package. He handed me the Zibra ZPCOPEN. I was amazed how easily this tool cut through the packaging. Now I have my own Zibra. I plan on getting one for my mother-in-law who has severe arthritis in her fingers. Also, there is a spring loaded retractable cutting blade in one of the handles which is very useful when needed. By the way, the Zibra makes a perfect gift too.Customer Review: A necessary little lifesaver

Packages need to be opened eventually. That simple ergonomic fact seems to have been lost in whatever passes for the packaging industry today. Blister packs are the bane of wounded fingers, stressed landfills and common sense. The ZPCOPEN (how would you pronounce that anyway?) is an intelligent and worthwhile response to the problem, though it doesn't do much for landfills. It has capable shears, a retractable blade resembling that of a craft knife, and a reversible screwdriver. It also has a catch to keep it in the closed position, so it fits nicely and without hazard into my kitchen utility drawer. Good job, Zibra.Customer Review: No more "Wait till your Father gets home!"

The Open-It works!
It's sturdy and so simple to use even this Grandmother can do it. All you need is a little patience; the tool deals with plastic packaging no matter how challenging the shape.
Bought my daughter one to carry in her car...no more wailing toddlers and a frustrated mom stabbing a package with a nail file. This could change the face of Christmas, or at least upgrade "Santa's" language...
I still hate plastic packaging, but I no longer avoid buying products because of it. I would recommend this product to anyone.
