I stumbled across this little baby while looking for something else. Amazon had added one of their, "people who looked at this also bought this" links. It caught my eye as it referenced those horrid blister packs eveything comes in nowadays. My language has become bluer over the past few years as this packaging became the norm.
Since it guaranteed that it would open anything, I figured what the heck, I'm willing to chance ten bucks if it solves all my problems
The price was very low, so my expectations weren't all that high. I got a bad feeling as it arrived in its own blister pack. However, this one was easy to open. I took the tool in hand and attacked a couple of recent discount store purchases. Like a dream! No plastic has stood up to the tough little jaws. This is a winner!

Customer Review: The Best Multi Use Tool for all Seasons

I've used other package opening devices, but this is the best. It is very sturdy. In the autumn and winter, I've used it to open plastic packaging material, cardboard boxes, and the foil at the top of a wine bottle. It easily cuts through wire, plastic wire ties, metal, fabric, and plastic. During the spring, I use it to prune plants in my garden. In the summer, it easily cuts through thick flower stems and vines.
Well worth every penny! I got it as a Christmas present and it is one of the best I've ever gotten!

I was amazed by this product and the genius behind it. I am sure it is fantastic. However, it is an everyday item at Home Depot and they sell it for $9.99 I found out a little too late, but figured I could help out people shopping for it. This Zibra is great for opening up those clam shell packages or any sort of high resistance material. The downside is that the little screwdriver head always falls out of mine.
This is my go to tool when I have to open up a box (razor blade attachment works) or a plastic shell package (angled scissors) or lastly if I need to open up a game or movie (razor blade attachment).
The lock on the Zibra holds very strong and doesn't look to fail anytime soon. Solidly built except for the fact that the screwdriver bit included seems a hair too skinny as it's falling out after you open a few packages.
I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a better solution to opening packages than using traditional scissors.

The Zibra worked fine to start with -- not the easiest tool to use, since it's akin to using garden shears to open a box, but adequate. Then the flimsy plastic piece that allowed you to keep it closed broke. That made it difficult to impossible to use the razor or screwdriver because they're awkward to use when it's scissored open. Now the blades have gotten too much play in them and it doesn't even cut packages well -- I think the plastic casing is just too flimsy. It's an ordeal trying to saw it through each package. I just ordered a new cutter from a different brand -- I'll see if that works better.
