Simple but quite useful product.
I have a UPS and a few powerstrips in the house. They are great by providing more outlets. But with all the power adapters that runs most of the gadgets today, even one of those power adapters can cover 2 to 3 outlets which defeats the purpose of having a powerstrip. The liberator solves that problem.
Also, some power adapters can be huge and heavy that its weight alone tends to loosen it from the wall, the liberator serves as a little extension to prevent it from loosening up. Loose connections are dangerous, it can produce sparks that not only can ruin your equipments but can even starts a fire. Countertop receptacles can also be problematic where they are awkwardly situated sideways.

Bulky transformers on cell phones and other devices may block neighboring outlets on surge protectors. These cords move the transformer AWAY from the surge protector, making the connection with a standard plug that does not interfere with neighboring outlets.
They work just fine. Will slightly reduce wire clutter that occurs when a second surge protector must be used in the same area of the home. The option of purchasing as a 5-pack is very convenient. The cost is lower than the cost of an additional surge protector.
We don't use this with any higher-demand items described in other reviews, such as refrigerator, so cannot comment on any issue related to capacity. Works great for our purposes.

All those large plugs can now fit ever so nicely on one surge protector. I use about 8 of these for my salt water reef aquarium, and they save me running extra outlets to that area. And definetly safer of a risk than daisy chaining two surge protectors together - firemarshall says that's bad news. Please all the other ones I've ordered help with all my computer equipment upstairs too. Oh, and our entertainment center with the TV, Cable, DVD, etc. I recommend everyone order a box of 20 of these as they will find they have a lot more use for them than they thought. Just take a look around your house and count up where you could use these.

I just bought my third pack of these. I couldn't believe I had used so many so I had to go locate all the places in the house they are being used and sure enough I am using all that were missing from storage. I use them not only for the transformer connectors, but they are helpful to easily plug in something that is at a crowded outlet. For instance where I plug in my iron I also plug in my paper shredder, a clock radio and a fan and other miscellaneous that are not high wattage items. I leave one there for when I want to plug in my iron and it is easier to access one of the six outlets that is plugged into the wall outlet.
