Tools and Hardware Reviews of D-Con 00027 Ultra Set Covered Snap Mouse TrapCustomer Review: Great Trap! Summary: 5 Stars
If you have a mouse problem, these traps are the way to go. I tried using peppermint oil & steel wool & the ultrasonic device -- none of them work. But, because I'm a girl, I didn't want to have to deal with dead mice bodies. Push finally came to shove and I got a variety of traps: the old fashioned Victor traps don't work with my smart city mice, they just move them out of the way (no joke!). But, the first night that I put this d-CON covered trap down, I caught one. So gross, you still see the tail of the mouse but still, it's better than the droppings! I use mine as disposable traps because I can't stomach emptying them but they're worth every penny. They're also great if you need to use them on countertops or in cabinets.
Customer Review: Super little trap.. Summary: 5 Stars
This has been the best and easiest to use trap I have found so far. I bought 4 of these. With one of the traps I caught 27 mice in just over 24 hours. I guess it was placed just right. I did catch a few more in the other traps. The only problem I have had with them is the locking mech. quit working on 1 and has gotten weak on another. But overall I give them a thumbs up. They beat the electronic traps. the safety traps and reg. traps, and poisons that I've tried. Really easy to empty. You don't have to touch the mouse at all. And (with the exception of a very tiny mouse) it is a quick kill everytime. We had a neighbor move but they left us some nasty surprises. We were over run with mice. Thankfully we have them under control now.
Customer Review: Took a few days, but it WORKED! Summary: 4 Stars
We had one impossible mouse that WOULD NOT be caught. He snuck in from our garage and made a nice little home for himself in our laundry room. We first bought the other no see, no touch D-con traps (the circle ones) since we had used those in the past with success. Well after days on end and NO mouse we decided to try a new trap. We bought this one and put it down there with all the other circle traps and the mouse was caught in this trap within two days.
Just a little warning - the tail was sticking out the back of the door, so prepare your stomach for that little sight. My husband chucked the entire trap in the garbage although you could re-use them if you had the stomach to empty it. Eww.
Customer Review: Finally, I am catching mice! Summary: 5 Stars
We have mice every winter scampering in the ceiling over our bedroom. I have been setting 6 traditational traps in the basement and ocasionally I catch one but, it is frustrating as they just mostly eat the peanut butter. I searched on-line and found this trap had the most postive reviews for its price, bought two and set them for the first time yesterday. I was dismayed this morning to hear scampering again but, when I checked the traps I found both had mice! Evidently there was no more room for the ones in the ceiling that I am sure I will catch tonight. They are easy to set, clean, unsightly and alow you to release the dead mouse into a bag or outdoors without getting your hands dirty. I love them!
Customer Review: The best trap I've ever used Summary: 4 Stars
I have a mouse problem in my current apartment, and these traps have been a life saver. They are so easy to set, and I don't have to worry about my fingers getting snapped when I set them. You don't have to see the mouse to know they've been caught (at most, I can see the tail of the mouse sticking out of the trap), and they're easy to reuse.
The only quibble I have is that you have to bait the traps in a certain way if they are to be most effective. I use peanut butter for my traps, and I noticed that, if you place the bait a certain way on the trigger, the mice can get the peanut butter without getting caught. That's the only complain I have, however. Definately worth the price.
