Customer Review: Waste of money! Avoid unless you want a mouse feeder!

I've started to see mice around the house as the weather got colder, so I thought I should get some traps and these came highly recommended. I bought three and set them around the stove, as that was where I found the most "traces" of the mice. I did as was recommended and left a small pea sized piece of bait expecting to find a mouse in the trap within the week. Three days later, I checked one that was set off and there was nothing inside, bait or otherwise. I checked the other two that were still set and the bait was gone. I tried stuffing the bait tray completely this time so the mouse couldn't run off with it. Just this morning, I checked and the bait is gone again, in all three traps. I could understand if one was defective, but not all three. So best save your money on a better quality mouse trap.Customer Review: Good but cheaply made

As easy as the trap was to bait and set (I use a pest control company bait), I caught a mouse in quick time, and then came the problems. The hinged lid on the front of the trap is held together with a very thin strip of molded plastic that broke when I took out the dead mouse. I put it back together and had quite a time getting it set again. Now the front won't stay on and the trap springs without any mouse touching it. The other one still works, but the hinge is already becoming loose.
As much as I like the trap and the ease of setting, there are still some problems with it. The hinge should be stronger plastic and the lever to set the trap more efficient in setting and keeping it set until a mouse triggers it.
Other than the above, I was mostly satisfied with the trap.

When I started seeing mice, I first bought the electronic trap Victor M2524 Electronic Mouse Trap, but that didn't do anything but act as a mouse feeding station.
I decided to give this a try and it worked the first night I set it up.
I put a tiny piece of peanut butter in the trap. I do find it a bit tricky to get the trap to stay cocked, but after that it works like a charm.
I keep a set of paper lunch bags in the basement. It's simple to tilt the trap, open the lid and release the mouse right into the bag without looking at it. Then it's off to the garbage for the mouse.
I must have a lot of mice - I've caught six so far.

I found these in a supermarket and have been using the four I bought 7 years ago, until they finally broke (hence my order here.) After a couple of nasty experiences with mice caught in glue traps (which are remarkably cruel!), I started looking for a better mousetrap and this is it. Once you set the latch, you know you've caught a mouse by the lever in the air and the tail trailing out the back of the trap. To get rid of the dead mouse, you pop the back, lift the lever up a little to release the snap and shake it out. You don't even have to look when you're doing this. Then you just have to reset them. We had a big problem a few years ago, and these traps were life (and sanity)-savers. We're down to the occasional rodent now (thank the heavens!), but I still couldn't live without these.Customer Review: Wiped 'Em Out. Completely.

We bought these traps after trying the humane catch and release type.
The previous traps didnt discourage the mice in our house at all.
After finding a mouse in my box of cereal one morning, I decided to ramp up our effort a large notch.
I got these traps and DCon's Mouse Prufe II.
Killed about 4 mice within 4 weeks and that was it.
No more mice at all after having had the problem off and on for 4 years.
Not sure if the poison made a difference or if it was strictly the covered mouse traps.
But we now have zero mice.
Way to go DCon.
Also these traps are nice because you dont really see the carnage.
The traps also look discreet on your floor or shelf.
They are not so barbaric as an open trap.
