Tools and Hardware Reviews of d-CON 00027 Ultra Set Covered Mouse TrapCustomer Review: Does not work Summary: 1 StarsIt was very easy to set, but after a few days of not catching a mouse, I decided to move it to another location. I opened the front to see if perhaps the peanut butter was still in the trap...No. Apparently, the mouse ate all the peanut butter and the trap didn't even snap. To make matters worse, the trap would not reset after snapping. I just threw it away.
Customer Review: Very easy to set up and empty Summary: 4 StarsIm not really sqeamish when it comes to mice, but I dont like setting up the old style mousetraps. Ive snapped my own fingers enough times not to want to go that route again. This product, as so many other reviewers have noted, really is easy to use. Most of the mice that were living here are now dead and gone, or moved out to find easier stomping grounds. This this will get them every time, they just cant resist. I find that peanut butter works best. Im not able to trap mice to release them far away, so this is much easier on the mice than glue traps, which are horrible in my opinion
Customer Review: A better mouse trap Summary: 5 StarsThis is the best mouse trap I have ever used. This trap never fails to catch the mice. It is reusable and makes it easy to dispose of the unwanted guest. The trap lasts a long time before it finally wears out. It's covered design makes it really great if you have other pets in the home. I have parrots and a small, adorable dog that I need to keep safe.
Customer Review: Good Cheap Trap, But Catch Mechanism Can Be a Pain Summary: 4 StarsPROS:
-You don't touch the mice
-Easy to bait (peanut butter is the best and they can't get it)
-Easy to tell when a mouse is caught or the trap is sprung (either their tail is sticking out or the lever is in the un-sprung position).
CONS:
-The only con is that sometimes the latching mechanism can be a real pain to catch. My concern is that it will wear out too quickly, and the price point is a little high for continued replacement.
-Even though there is a cover children and pets could still possibly hurt themselves with fingers or a dog's tongue in the trap I would recommend the one below if you have either.
I like the traps linked below, they have their problems, require batteries, but are just as affective
Victor Electronic Mouse Trap
Customer Review: instant sucess Summary: 5 StarsI was going to buy the tip trap off amazon, but I really wanted the mouse problem over with. so I bought 2 of these at a local super store. this one got rid of the mouse the very first night! no problems with them since. I heard it snap soon as all the lights were out in the house. my son disposed of the mouse and reset the trap the next morning. I will be investing in a few more of these to have on hand. love that I don't have to see the mouse in the trap.
