This is a great general purpose flashlight. I do have many that are much brighter but this one does hold it's own. When you are using a flashlight at night, sometimes too bright is not good. It actually hurts your eyes. This flashlight has a good intensity of light while diffusing just enough to not hurt when using late at night in very dark situations. The feel of the flashlight is good and it hardly weighs anything at all. I recommend using lithium batteries in it. They are expensive but you get a bright light that lasts for a long time.Customer Review: Great price. Average quality.

After one too many of my other flashlights were taken apart by my kids, I thought this would be a low-cost alternative. Price was right, but I was hoping for slightly better quality. The brightness of the flashlight met my expectations but I experienced the flicker that other reviewers have mentioned. The flashlight drops in and out just often enough that I am not comfortable relying on the light. Do I feel rooked? Not really, it was only $5. But this is not a steal. You can not go wrong with buying this flashlight for 5 [...]. The package comes with batteries!!! I bought a couple and threw them in the glove box of each of the cars in our household.
The flashlight is very bright and I hope the battery consumption is pretty good.
Yes, the flashlight does "act up" sometimes. The one I use for work I have to sometimes mess around with the switch.
The packaging mentions that the product contains lead. Take that information as you want.

This is a great little flashlight. The LEDs are extremely bright and provide good illumination over at least 30 feet. As with other LED flashlights, you cannot adjust the focal distance, so you cannot produce a bright spot or flood, but the illumination provided by the LEDs is sufficient for most tasks.
Regarding durability, the flashlight feels light but solid in my hand, and I have had no problems with flickering or faulty contacts. (Note: I have not put this flashlight through heavy-duty use).

Extremely lightweight... 90% of the weight is due to the 3 AAA batteries which are included. Switch is comfortable and the light output is superb... and for the price I think its the best option around. I did'nt give it 5 stars because it seems to have slightly rough edges, not enough to catch on anything, but I wouldn't slide it on silk either. One feels the edges could have been sanded smoother. All in all, very happy with it ... Have not tried it underwater yet, so I can't comment on its waterproof aspect.
